Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has registered opposition to the moves made by the opposition parties for the removal of the CM from his post.
Sharing the grief of the victims of Khwairamband incident of July 23, a statement issued by the chairman of the media department of MPCC, S Mangi welcomed the government's order for judicial inquiry into the incident.
The MPCC statement also urged the government to provide all possible assistances to all victims of the incident.
Noting that the imposition of curfew has worsened the conditions of the people, especially to those who are living hand to mouth, the MPCC has also urged the government to lift the curfew immediately.
It also appealed the concerned authorities, organisations, students, and womenfolk to facilitate the restoration of normalcy in the state.
It further urged the Manipur government and the Apunba Lup to reach at an amicable solution at the earliest.
At the same time, the MPCC has registered its opposition to the demand made by opposition parties for the dismissal of the CM from his post.
