The government of India will provide evidence of 'terror groups' to Bangladesh and will demand action against the "outlawed outfits".
BSF Inspector General P K Misra informed on Tuesday that Union external affairs minister Pranab Mukerjee will provide Bangladesh documentary evidences of Indian based militant groups using Bangladesh soil to carry out anti Indian attacks during his two day visit to Bangladesh from February 8 .
Mishra said that evidences are collated by the Union government and New Delhi will demand action against the "outlawed outfits" using Bangladesh as their base to carry out terror attacks in India .
"The government of India would be submitting a report to the Bangladesh government soon," he said.
On the large scale of cross-border infiltration of militants and foreign nationals Mishra said that it could not be 'quantified.' He pointed out that as the region shares a 'difficult mountainous and riverine areas and ethnic affinities of population on both sides of the borders guarding the North East is 'problem oriented.' He however said that intelligence set-up on the entire border has been strengthened and "motivational methods" adopted to bring "qualitative attitudinal change" among the troops guarding the frontiers.
He said state-of-the-art equipments have also been installed along the borders with Bangladesh to thwart cross-border movement of militants and foreign nationals.
