Illegal occupations of land with fake patta at Sangakpham Bazar will be evicted at earliest to make space for installation of a water supply and construction of a SDO office said IFCD and YAS minister N Biren speaking as chief guest in the inauguration function of the Imphal Urban Co-operative Bank, Sangakpham branch.
Biren further said that except to nine people government did not allocated land and issued patta.
Some people are occupying the land at the Bazar by changing the name to the original pattadar has come to know during an investigation conducted by the vigilance department.
The process of eviction has been remained suspended following a court directive.
The ruling of the court is not perfect.
It apparently trying to conceal the truth, Biren observed.
He also assured of adequate security to the newly opened bank branch.
Speaking on the occasion,state co-operation minister, Y Erabot said due to the directive of the blind folded court, the installation works of the water supply scheme at Sangakpham has been delayed which in turn people are facing water scarcity problem.
Government will not spare those people who go to court with fake patta.
Irabot further said that the purpose super market at RDS School, Palace compound will be constructed under the funding from the Urban Co-operative Bank.
PDA chairman, MLA Dr Kh Loken who also talked on the occasion said that a bank is a place where people can avail loan with least interest.
It is praised worthy on knowing that state urban bank operating for the last 40 year has 19,000 members across the state.
In the inauguration function of the new branch of the Urban Co-operative bank state food and consumer affairs minister, Y Irabot graced as chief guest, IFCD minister N Biren as president and MLA Dr Kh Loken as guest of honour, additional registrar of the state co-operative society N Jugeshwor and general manager of Urban Co-operative bank, Y Ningthouja also attended as guest of honours.
