Alleging that the action of police against in dispersing agitators is too much, MPP today said that instead of cooling down the protest of the people, police action will amount to add fuel to the burning fire.
Speaking at a press conference held this evening at the office opposite Polo Ground senior leader of the party O Joy said the action of the police for maintaining public order is like action against the enemy by the army.
The action is too much, it instead of controlling the agitation, will increase people angers.
The action of the police is not a good one.
In this crucial juncture, the attack at the office of a newspaper is more unfortunate thing.
Attacking at the newspaper house and arresting of leaders of the civil organizations will not able to cool down the people's agitations.
MPP condemned the acts, he added.
Expressing concern over the CT scans at JN Hospital and RIMS hospital remaining in defunct state, Joy said, injured people in the agitation are facing difficulties urging the doctors to get ready for emergency services for attending the injured people.
President of the MPP, Nimaichand Luwang who also present in the press conference said, when MPP members visited injured people at JN Hospital today and extended assistants on humanitarian ground, the condition of Prakash was found critical.
The visiting team also found the condition of another injured youth Ch Sanaton of Kongpal Chongdam Leikai also serious.
The party provided Rs 1000 each to the families of the two victims.
Nimaichand appealed to the government to help the injured people.
He also said that MPP and other like minded parties are looking whether government translated into work to the announcement of judicial enquiry into the July 23 firing incident.
