Imphal, August 08 2009:
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) today said Chief Minister O Ibobi will be held responsible for any killing in Manipur while strongly condemning the Khwairamband incident of July 23 and the incidents aftermath the exposure.
A statement issued by the information and publicity secretary of AMSU, L Ranendrajit, said the AFSPA has been imposed in the state by O Ibobi and his subordinate security men.
The AMSU statement observed that Ibobi is presenting the state as insurgency infested state before the Central leaders in order to enjoy the monetary sanction meant for tackling the same with his henchmen. Several innocents have been killed by the security forces with instruction from O Ibobi.
To encourage the security in killings, he has also promised gallantry awards to soldiers.
Agreeing with the CM's statement that no law is prevailing in the state, AMSU stated that the incidents happening in the state are not expected to occur in a land where there is law.
It also charged that the government did not know the effect on student about imposing curfew to contain any tense situation in the state.
This also shows that the government is against the students.
The students of the state will launch several agitations against the state government.
Stating that price of any commodity should not be hiked during the curfew relaxation hours, the AMSU statement further informed all concerned to take cash memo while buying commodities.
