Imphal, December 29:
Apprehension has been expressed on the possibility of siphoning off the kerosene quota for 5 months meant for Patsoi A/C by the concerned officials.
Talking to mediapersons at Imphal today, secretary of Patsoi Kendra SK Oil Sub-Dealers' Association Kolom Samarjit informed that after the kerosene quota had not been received since August, the District Supply Officer reportedly issued by permit to the sub-dealers of Patsoi Kendra on Novr 13.But as no date for collection of the kerosene quota was mentioned on the permit, the sub-dealers were told that there was no Kerosene left when they approach the BB & Co, a petrol pump located at Sangaiprou for collecting the same.
When the matter was brought to the notice, a Govt official also simply told verbally to submit the permit, thereby causing confusion and apprehension among the people that the kerosene quota might have been siphoned off, Samarjit said.
The permit of kerosene quota for the months of April to June had also been given only in the month of July, Samarjit informed, adding that the actual kerosene quota that should be allotted to Patsoi Kendra in one month is 19,490 litres and the same should be distributed among 32 dealers.
He fervently appealed to the State Govt for ensuring regular supply of kerosene quota.
