With no opposition, govt does what it wants: Dilipkumar

The present Ibobi led SPF government is happily doing what it wants as there is no opposition in the state.
People's level of dissatisfaction towards the government is also increasing, said Yumnamcha Dilipkumar, President, UCM.
Speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of the Leishem Pathou held at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace compound, Dilipkumar said that there is no opposition in the state which could put a check on the unwnated doings of Chief Minister O Ibobi.
The CSOs of the state are, in fact, playing the role of Opposition and is shouting against the government's misdeeds.
He further went on to say that the development works taken up by the government has failed to impress the general public.

Newly black topped roads are being dug up again for underground cable and pipe works.
The sewerage project instead of solving the problems of the state has added more problems for the public with dug up pits in the middle of the road.
People are fed of all these unwanted development works, the funds meant for the public is being used up unnecessarily.
The present government is trying to get the credit for the removal of AR from the holy Kangla, which was the fruit of the long and tireless effort of the people of the state.
There is no harm in the government taking all the credit for he works done by the people.
But it should sincerely work for the betterment of the society, he said.
The function was graced Dr Yumnam Mohendro, former Director, College Development Council, MU and Dr Haobam Indrakumar, President, Leishem Pathou, Imphal as the Chief Guest and President respectively.
A seminar on the topic "Perspectives of Good Governance in Manipur- In Search of new Democratic System" was also held as a part of the function where Dr Yumnam Mohendro was the moderator.
On the occasion Dr CH Priyaranjan spoke on 'Self-Sufficient Political Economy of Manipur-A Vision", Proff N Joykumar on "Electoral Reforms and Leadership Pattern", Proff Ksh Bimola on "Voting Behaviour and Political Participation" and Dr H Indrakumar spoke on the topic "Value-Based Political Culture minus Democratic Capitalism" as resource persons.
