Imphal, April 03 2009: The hunger relay strike being launched by Sharmila Kanba Lup at Porompat PDA complex in pursuance of the demand for repaling Armed Forces Special Powers Act and save the life of Sharmila completed 115 days today.

In continuation of the agitation, members of Tendouyang Apunba Meira Paibi Lup today participated in the hunger relay.

Secretary of the Lip L Kilobala, co-convenor of Sharmila Kanba Lup Momon, preident of Manipur Muslim Women's Development Organsiation Sitara Begum and president of Awang Sekmai Meira Paibi Lup Angom Shanti were among those who spoke as resource persons at the occasion.

Meanwhile, similar hunger relay strike being launched at Wabagai Lamkhai of Thoubal district in support of the demand of Sharmila Kanba Lup concluded 59 days today.

Members of Hiyanglam Warak Khong Meira Paibi Lup participated in the hunger rlay strike today.
