Thang-Ta show draws huge crowd at Shilp Mela, Allahabad

Allahabad, December 09 2011: The Thang-Ta performances by the artists of Manipur brought a new dimension at the ongoing Shilp Mela at North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) .

The Thangata dance based on martial arts was greatly appreciated by the public.

People also purchased numerous handicrafts items that were being sold at the Shilp Mela .

The entire audience clapped as the Manipuri folk dancer presented the Thang-Ta dance.

The cultural evening at NCZCC started with the presentation of Gotipua dance of Orrisa which was earlier staged at traditional devalayas.

After that, folk artists coming from the Kumaon region staged Chapeli dance.
