As in the previous years, Anti-Terrorism Day was observed at Manipur Secretariat South under the aegis of the State Government today.
The observance was in commemoration of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, Forest, Law and Revenue Minister Th Debendra called upon the people to stand up against the act of terrorism of threatening one lakh people by killing one.
He appealed to the people to win hearts with love so that the society can march ahead towards development.
Health Minister Ph Parijat, top-ranking civil and police officials also attended the function.
The function culminated with Govt officers taking oath to stand up against terrorism.
Anti-Terrorism Day was also observed at Chandel district Hqs under the aegis of the district administration.
The function presided by Chandel DC Devesh Dewal was attended by district level civil and police officers in addition to a number of Government employees.
