Imphal, November 11 2011: The State Government is planning to upgrade the Lamlai Nagar Panchayat of Imphal East, Wangoi Nagar Panchayat of Imphal West, Yairipok Nagar Panchayat of Thoubal district and Sugnu Nagar Panchayat of Thoubal district to Municipality status.

The existing Ward wise boundaries of these Nagar Panchayats and the notified area along with the same existing Member of Wards will remain the same without any change.

Any person who is ordinarily resident of these Nagar Panchayats may submit objection, if any, in written to the respective Deputy Commissioners within 45 days, said a Government notification.
