Contract employees of MACS threaten cesework stir

Imphal, March 05 2012: Contract employees of ART, ICTC, PPTCT, PRC and STI at different centres of the State under the Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS) have threatened to launch cease work stir if the authority concerned fails to deliver due remunerations within fifteen days.

Speaking to newspersons today, contract employees under MACS complaints about non-increase in salary, non-release of arrears, increment, and non-extension of service in time.

They said, the employees, after due consultation with various NGOs working closely in the field of HIV/AIDS have decided to lauch the cease-work stir in case their demands are not met within fifteen days.

They have informed the Project Director of MACS about their grievances today in a memorandum.
