Imphal, February 24 2009: Thoubal Police Commandos arrested one KCP cadre from Sekpi Khongnang-khong Thoubal Bazar during frisking and checking operation conducted in the general area of Thoubal Bazar at around 10.20 pm yesterday.

Identifying the arrested KCP cadre as Ningom-bam Shitaljit alias Pritam alias Lumba Singh (35) s/o late N Deven Singh of Thoubal Ningombam Bombay Leirak, SP of Thoubal District Clay Khongsai, IPS in a statement conveyed that on questioning Shitaljit disclosed that he is an active member of KCP working under the finance section of the outfit.

In another state-ment, the SP conveyed about the arrest of a PREPAK cadre from Wabagai Tera Pishak by a combined tea of Thoubal Police Comm-andos and personnel of 21 Assam Rifles during a search operation at around 2.20 am yesterday.

The SP identified the arrested PREPAK cadre as Wahengbam Radha-kanta Singh (39) s/o late W Kulladhaja Singh of Wabagai Tera Pishak and said that on questioning Radhakanta disclosed that he is an active member of PREPAK working under its finance section.
