GPRN warns Depts, contractors

Tamenglong, March 06 2009: The GPRN Zeliangrong region has warned erring departments and contractors with stern action against failure to complete contract works within the stipulated time frames or latest by 2008-09. A press release issued by the CAO of GPRN Zeliangrong region said that the Power Department is neglecting the works being undertaken under RGGBY to electrify villages from Jiribam to Mandeu while asking concerned officials and contractors to complete the same at the earliest.

It also decried that the Works Department is dilly-dallying over construction works of several roads.

Condemning the 'elements' creating disturbances at Luanglei Apinjang village of Luangba sub-division, the release reiterated its stand to safeguard the land and resources of Zeliangrong people in its jurisdiction.
