NPF sets May 28 date

Imphal, May 24 2011:
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Nagaland Minister for Planning Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu, Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland CM Chang, Nagaland senior Cabinet minister TR Zeliang and 20 other Nagaland MLAs and Ministers will be in Senapati headquarters on May 28 to "formally" launch the Manipur unit of the Naga People's Party (NPF), a regional political party.
Leaders of NPF informed Newmai News Network tonight that Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu who is the president of the party will formally launch the Manipur unit of the NPF at Senapati headquarters on Saturday in the presence of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The Naga Peoples' Front (NPF) has been operating in Manipur since March 31 as one of the regional political parties, according to its general secretary (Manipur unit) S Kho John.
Significantly, NPF led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) Government is in its second term in Nagaland under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio.
S Kho John had said earlier that any political party, group or individual in Manipur are welcome to join the NPF.
