Imphal, February 24 2009:
The president of the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has greeted the people of Manipur.
In a statement, the outfit's chief Irengbam Chaoren conveyed revolutionary greetings to the people of Manipur who have been suffering under the alien rule of the Government of India on the 30th foundation day of the outfit, also observed as Independence Demand Day which falls tomorrow (February 25). Observing that the world's attention is on US President Barrack Obama of Afro-American origin who were once subjected to severe subjugation under slavery system, Chaoren remarked that some years back very few people in the world believed a black American will become the country's President.
Election of Barrack Obama as President of the USA is a landmark in the history of the country, the RPF chief noted that Obama was elected president not with the votes of only black people and minority groups but with an overwhelming vote from all communities of the country.
Election of black American to the highest post of the country's political system is a clear manifestation that racism no longer exists in the USA.
Obama's agenda of mitigating nuclear conflict with adversary countries, tackling the economic problems and issues of war in other parts of the world, the decision to close down the prison located at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba within a year, the decision to pull out US troops from Iraq, the assurance not to go ahead with the missile defence system in haste in Poland and the resultant declaration of Russia not to deploy missiles on the side of Poland and his commitment to foster better relations with Russia as well as with Iran have won faiths of the citizens of the world that he (Obama) would be shouldering the heavy responsibility of bringing peace in the earth.
On the other hand, Manipur, which had been a symbol of communal harmony where there was no discrimination among all communities, big or small, is falling prey to the divide and rule policy of the Government of India.
Slowly, distrust and hatred between different communities have been destroying the social fabric of Manipur.
The murder of the Kasom Khullen SDO and his two staff in the most brutal murder and escapism being played by the 'so called political leaders of Manipur' waiting for instruction from New Delhi are equally shameful.
Those people going at the command and incitation of the Government of India to fragment Manipur are selfish, demented lots who don't understand a little bit of the world history and bereft of any concern for their own State and people.
Studying the contemporary world history, one should note that the USA, once notorious for racism, has freed itself from the same discriminatory practice and has elected black Barrack Obama as its president whereas Manipur, always free from any form of racism , is being dragged within the diabolic racist policy of the Government of India.
The call of the USA to the world community to fight terrorism jointly in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 Al Qaida attack at Twin Tower (World Trade Centre) and the Pentagon followed by India in the aftermath of November 26 attack at Bombay last year have perplexed the question of armed groups fighting for liberation of their States.
Accusing the Government of India of working to project any armed group as terrorists to the international community, it recalled that when the USA declared war on terrorism following the September 11 Al Qaida attack, the then UN General Secretary Kofi Anan cautioned that indiscriminate declaration of war on terrorism have the potential to make all those armed groups fighting for liberation of their native states as a misunderstood section.
The UN should take up necessary works to differentiate the two, its General Secretary asserted.
This clearly shows that the international community supports genuine liberation movements, the RPF chief noted.
However, the Government of India is working to project the armed movement of the RPF aimed at liberating Manipur and its people as terrorism.
This is only a traditional practice followed by colonists to keep their colonies under their rule for a longer period, Chaoren remarked.
Quoting experts, the RPF chief stated that the chemical warfare used by US military under command of its Government during the Vietnam war from 1961 to 1971 had the evil intention to exterminate Vietnamese people from the surface of Earth.
A chemical called Rainbow Herbicides were discharged from airplanes over Vietnam under different names as Agent Pink, Agent Green, Agent Purple, Agent Blue, Agent White and Agent Orange.
During Operation Ranch Hand conducted during Vietnam War at Mekong Delta to drive out Vietnamese soldiers, approximately 12 million gallons (4500,000 litres) of Agent Orange were used.
This killed all animals living there and destroyed all vegetation besides causing deadly contamination of the soil.
During 1961-1971, 29 million gallons of chemicals were used by the US military over Vietnam causing toxicity of around 6 million acres (24000 sq kms) of land in South Vietnam.
After the war, the Vietnamese Government announced to the world that around 4 lakh people were killed by Dioxin chemical.
Further, several unknown diseases broke out after the war claiming thousands of lives, maiming hundreds of children.
Moreover, many people died of starvation as crops and vegetables were found toxic to a deadly level.
The whole war operation of the US Government was conducted with an evil intention to exterminate all the Vietnamese people from the surface of Earth.
On the other hand, because of the relatively very few number of US soldiers killed by Veit Cong and some casualty caused to civilians, the Viet Congs were declared as terrorists.
But after the war, the USA apologised to Vietnam for occupying Vietnamese territory and declaring war.
If one studies all these events and political manoeuvres, it would be no difficult task to identify who are terrorists, Chaoren asserted.
