Imphal, September 27 2010: Deputy Secretary in-charge of Home, Government of Manipur, Th Amalkumar today appeared before the Gauhati High Court and pleaded for withdrawing the counter affidavit filed in connection with the case over the brutal killing of then Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staff by armed cadres of NSCN (IM).

Ruling that the counter affidavit filed against a writ petition submitted by Thingnam Surendra, father of the late Dr Kishan, was full of loopholes, the Court had directed the Deputy Secretary (Home) to appear before the Court and give his explanation today.

Accordingly, Deputy Secretary (Home) Th Amalkumar appeared before the Court.

Apologising for the misleading counter-affidavit, the officer also pleaded for withdrawing the said counter affidavit.
