Imphal, August 05 2009:
The revolutionary government of Kangleipal Communist Party (KCP) has called for unity among all its factions for a united struggle to save Kangleipak.
In a statement, the office of the auditor general (AC), department of AG of the revolutionary government of KCP observed that even after 30 years of existence the outfit has not been able to show its true strength and defeat the divide rule policy that has created disunity from achieving the goal.
Calling upon KK Nganba, City Meitei, Lamphel Meitei and all other comrades who have pledged to laid down their lives for the cause of freedom, the statement said it is high time for unification by leaving behind the mutual distrust and hostility of the past so as to realise the dreams of the departed Bajis.
The two words 'freedom struggle' may be easy to say, but would be impossible to achieve without unity and mutual respect, the statement added.
In another statement, Tabungba Meitei, CER cum secretary DIPR in-charge of revolutionary government of KCP said that the bomb attack at the office of Vodafone was the first and the last warning for not conceding to the request of some monetary contribution from the side of the outfit.
Explaining the stand of KCP, Tabungba Meitei said with the enemy trying to poison the mind of the people, KCP has suspended monetary demand from public.
But to run an important organisation like KCP which is fighting for the cause of a nation, money is required.
So instead of asking contribution from individuals, KCP has requested for contribution from big companies, firms and departments and there would be any compromise in this regard.
Asking Vodafone and other companies, firms or departments which have already been requested for monetary contribution to contact KCP, Tabungba Meitei said that the public should not think ill of the outfit for any consequences to the failure of meeting the request by these companies, firms or departments.
In yet another statement, Tabungba Meitei clarified that one Moirangthem Diren alias Michel whom the police claimed to be a KCP activist who had already been arrested and detained in jail under NSA has no connection with the outfit.
The arrest of Diren from his wife's place at Malom Meitram earlier was through false information given to the police by one of the uncles of the wife.
The said uncle wrongly informed the police that Diren was a gang member of child kidnappers.
However, KCP has nothing to do with his incident, Tabungba Meitei said.
