Imphal, October 19 2009:
Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) has appealed to AMSU, MSF and KSA for calling off the class boycott agitation in consideration of the future of the students.
Addressing a press conference in this regard at the Haokip Veng residence of ex-MP Holkhomang Haokip, KSO president P Simte said KSO had hoped that the class boycott call agitation of AMSU, MSF and KSA would be suspended in view of that fact that the agitating three students have been established with the stated objective of working for the welfare of the student community.
However, the hope has been belied so far.
KSO also strongly condemned the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar incident and has been exerting pressure in the Government for awarding exemplary punishment to the involved police commandos.
But instead of the ongoing class boycott agitation which affects the student community, KSO would support any form of agitations, Simte said.
He also urged the Govt to take up necessary measures toward resolving the present impasse.
