Imphal, October 13:
Fed up with the ongoing factional killings in the region, the Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM), with utmost effort, has explained the futility of violence.

Pointing to yesterday's killing of a UG cadre in cold blood by a rival group and also to the civilians hurt in the recent clashes between the two NSCN factions in Tamenglong district, the Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM) said that, "We are all Naga brothers and that killing among ourselves will not bring any good to the Naga family".
ZSUM then philosophically rued that if there is any reasoning then human values should be placed at the topmost position and stop violating human rights immediately.
ZSUM also said that one Maithonpingbou of Kajinglong village was critically injured when a bullet from crossfire between the NSCN factional clashes had hit on his thigh/leg and also that a girl from Makoi village had been injured on the knee owing to the factional clashes of the two warring NSCN factions.
