To get a first hand account of the measures being taken up by the State Health Department to prevent spread of Swine Flu, a two member team of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare arrived here today.
On their arrival, the two-member team, comprising Dr AK Puri and Dr S Kulshreshtha of the Directorate General of Health Services, met State Nodal Officer Dr Bhubanchandra and reviewed the steps being taken up by the State Government to prevent spread of Swine Flu.
Apart from visiting JN Hospital at Porompat and RIMS Hospital at Lamphel, where the State Government have set up isolation wards for treatment of Swine Flu affected patients, the two Central officers also went to the Imphal Tulihal Airport to monitor screening of the passengers to detect passengers infected with the H1NI virus causing Swine Flu.
