Review stir agenda on SHDDC mind

Following instructions from the Union Home Minister and appeals from the State Government to end the ongoing general strike and economic blockade, the SHDDC has started reviewing its agitation.
SHDDC representatives and the three MLAs from Sadar Hills were told by the Union Home Minister that he supports the demand for Sadar Hills district but the blockade on highways should be lifted.
The Union Home Minister's position was conveyed to the people of Sadar Hills by MLAs Thangminlen Kipgen, Haokholet Kipgen and Doukhomang Khongsai during a public function at PDA Church complex, Keithelmanbi yesterday.
The three MLAs also proposed for lifting the blockade.
Subsequently, the SHDDC has started consulting with the people of Sadar Hills whether the agitation should continue or not.

SHDDC spokesperson Seithang informed The Sangai Express that a public meeting would be held at Gamgiphai at 11 am tomorrow to discuss the Union Home Minister's appeal to end the blockade.
Informing that the Government of Manipur has also been appealing to lift the blockade, Seithang said that the public meeting would discuss whether the blockade would be lifted or not, and what would the next course of action, if the blockade should be lifted.
Meanwhile, out of the six hunger strikers who were admitted in Gamphazol Primary Health Centre yesterday, Sapermeina Police brought three women hunger strikers to JN Hospital here this evening as their health condition deteriorated further.
Those admitted in JN Hospital have been identified as Hatlam Haokip (47), Nengngah Kipgen (45) and Neikholhing Kipgen (54) .
