Manipur, Bengal, Maharastra confirmed for quarterfinal berth
M Bijen still share Dipendu Biswas as top scorer

Manipur Crush Pondichery 9-0 in their last league round of the group IV match today at ESU ground, while IFA, Bengal thrashed Jammu & Kashmir 5-0 and Maharastra defeated Meghalaya in another matches at Mapal Kangjeibung.

Kh Sanaton opened the floodgate of score account for Manipur just one minute from kick off time. In the next three minute of the match Tiken added another goal and march the team to the winning side.

With these early two goals, host team dominated the match from the beginning and force back Pondichery in another side. Manipur got a chance to add another in 40th minute by a penalty shot which M Bijen converted. In the next minute T Bijen netted another goal and keep the margin at 4-0. L Tiken scored the last goal of the first half in the 44th minute.

With these quick three goals in five minutes, Manipur led five to nil at the end of first half. With five goals in the pocket, Manipur starts without any fear to losing. N Bijen again touch the net by a penalty kick, gave more comfortable to win the match. After this match M Bijen tops as highest scorer of the tournament along with Bengal star Dipendu Biswas.

Tiken netted his third goal of the match in the 70th minute from a rebound ball. In the next two minutes Nilakumar added one more goal and keep the margin at 8-0.

The fourth goal of the Tiken and last one of the match came in the 87th minute with his big shoot. With this win Manipur will clash with winner of group VIII on the October 26 at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

Maharastra booked their place in the quarter final round from group II today by defeating Meghalaya 3-2 at Mapal Kangjeibung.

The match was a do or die for both teams, the winner will rush to the next round league. Meghalaya were out of the tournament with this suffering defeat. First half of the match ended without any single goal on the board. Both sides stared with a slow pitch.

Aziz Quereshi opened the score account for Maharastra in the 51st minute. With this goal Aziz was able to break the long deadlock of the match. In the 71st minute Anthony Fernandez netted another goal and led the score margin to 2-0.

One minute later from the second goal Sam Kharbhih scored a goal in favour of Meghalaya. Freddy Kharpran leveled the score for Meghalaya in the 77th minute. The final and winning goal for Maharastra came from Altafuddin Hameed in the 78th minutes. Now, Maharastra will clash the winner of group VI in the first match of the quarterfinal league round.

IFA, Bengal went with early two goals of the first half and controlled the Jammu & Kashmir from there out to win a place in the quarterfinal league round. Bengal will meet the winner of their first match of quarterfinal league round. It's taken only three minutes to get a chance for cracking Jammu. Dipendu Biswas took the early advantage in his first goal at just three minute from kick off.

Dipendu Biswas again netted another goal in the 24th minute and put a pressure on the opponent side.

Dipendu's early two goals set the tone for Bengal and he was a key man for his team of the match. The second half started as the first half did, with the Bengal in position to dictate the match. Surya Bikash Chakraborty added another goal for Bengal in the 64th minute.

Dipendu Biswas, Bengal's leading scorer, who has scored four goals in last match against Rajasthan netted his third goal of the match in the 67th minute and shared the top scorer with National star M Bijen. Anupam Sarkar netted the final goal of the match in the 83rd minute by his superb shot.
