Manipur to play Services in Santosh Trophy semis

Impressive Railways continued their winning streak and made their way into the last four of the 65th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy after defeating Services 2-1 in their last quarterfinal league match on Tuesday.
But despite suffering a defeat at the hands of Railways, Services pipped Goa and Punjab on superior goal difference to become the second team to qualify for the semifinals after Goa and Punjab played out a 1-1 draw in the last quarterfinal match of Group B, at the Nehru Stadium.
Railways finished top of the Group B table with 9 points, while Services, Punjab and Goa finished with two points in their kitty.
Services will now take on Manipur in the first semi-final to be played on May 26, while a strong Railway will play defending Champions West Bengal in the second semi-final a day after.
