Imphal, November 24: Hosts Manipur University suffered 28-0 humiliation against Kurukshetra University before being thrashed by Guru Nanak Dev University 39-0 in the North and East Zone Inter University (women) Hockey Tournament 2007 today.

Ironically, Manipur University was the champion varsity in the previous edition of All India Inter University Hockey competition.

In the other matches of the day, the Guru Nanak eves overcame Punjabi University 4-2 while Kurukshetra University defeated Punjab University 2-0 .
