Governor honours veteran polo players

Imphal, December 07 2010:
In an act of appreciation, the Governor of Manipur, Shri Gurbachan Jagat invited five veteran polo players of the state to the Raj Bhavan and honoured them with a cash incentive of ' 10,000 each.
The Governor invited Konsam Apabi of Charangpat Mayai Leikai, Maibam Shamu of Leimapokpam Khunpham Leikai, Senjam Mani of Khwai Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak, and Elangbam Thanil of Kumbi for tea at the Raj Bhavan at 3.30 pm today and honoured them for their contributions in the field of Polo in the state.
Representatives from All Manipur Polo Association and Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association were also present at the occasion.
