PHAM, Yaiskul outplayed MPSC 6-2 to clinch the title of the inaugural MHA Super six Champion Cup hockey tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium today.
After racing to a 3-0 lead in the first half PHAM showed little mercy for the police side after the change of ends as well during which the latter�s board by sounded thrice compared to only two by the cops, who added to their own misery missing a 28th minute penalty stroke.
The PHAM goals were scored by N abung (10th, 18th), Kh Rabikanta (15th), O Boniyam (52nd/PC), Ksh Wangamba (55th) and K Devakishore (62nd) with N Gunamani (42nd/PC) and P Priyokumar (50th) reducing the goal deficit for MPSC.
SAI RC secured the third position.
N Abung of PHAM was adjudged �player of the super� carrying a cash award of Rs 1000 with the �best promising player award� of same amount went to Ksh Wangamba (PHAM).
