Imphal, November 24: Narcotic Cell, Imphal West District arrested a drug peddler along with 344 capsules of SP tablets from in front of Hotel Excellency here at around 11.10 am today.

The arrested drug peddler who is also in the habit of abusing drug has been identified as Thounaojam Thenao alias Martin (26) s/o late Thounaojam Ramcharan of Keishampat Jailor Leirak.

According to Thenao, he purchased the drugs from a woman, who is a resident of Lilong Haoreibi for Rs 500 and intended to sell them for Rs 40-50 per strip.
