Imphal, March 14:
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has appealed to all the invigilators on duty in the ongoing examination for class XII to perform their duties sincerely and dutifully.
In a statement, deputy secretary of education and academic affairs of the students' body LC Santosh urged the invigilators to ensure that the student examinees do not resort to use of unfair means.
Pointing out that the onus of free and fair conduct of the examination lies in the hands of the invigilators, Santosh said that the student examinees should be searched thoroughly and no study materials and written notes should be allowed to bring inside the examination rooms.
Informing that special teams of DESAM has been touring all the examination centres, the statement lamented that though the earlier chaos scene of note-pushers and helpers thronging around the examination centres have been seen no more, used of unfair means inside the examination room could not be ruled out.
