Imphal, April 15 2011:
Following heightened tension between Mao and Angami people over land dispute and the subsequent restrictions imposed on the entry of Mao people in Southern Angami area in Nagaland, police have been alerted and security stepped up.
Information received from Mao Police said that police patrolling has been stepped up and stringent security measures put in place after Mao people were restricted from entering the Southern Angami areas in Nagaland.
Mao and Angami people have been at loggerheads over the possession of land in Koziiri located near Dzuko valley.
