Imphal, May 27:
State child artists have emerged overall champion in the All India Folk Dance competition organised by the Chattisgarh Council of Child Welfare under the aegis of the Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi from May 20 to 16 at Raipur, informed a press statement.
The State artistes won both the solo and group categories of the folk dance competition besides bagging Best Costumes Design and Best Make-up.
The artistes who represented the Manipur State Council for Child Welfare, Imphal are Oinam Dara, Ronaldo Khaidem, Y Biluda, Radharani, H Dhanamanjuri and Sangeeta Thokchom.
The troupe was led by Sagolsem Doctorchaoba as escort, added the release.
