The stoic silence being maintained by the Government of India over the whereabouts of UNLF Chairman, RK Meghen alias Sariayaima after his reported arrest in Bangladesh is nothing but violation of Right to Life enshrined un der Article 21 of Indian Constitution, human rights defender Advocate Khaidem Mani has stated.
Talking to mediapersons at Cheirap Court complex today.
Advocate Mani, who, is also the secretary of Senior Citizen for Society said that Government of India should not try to keep the matter under wrap, but it would be advisable to take up necessary legal measures to bring back "RK Meghen for trial.
The advocate suggested that trial of RK Meghen could be, conducted either under the International Law or Indian law.
He, however, pointed out that Bangladesh and India are yet to sign any extradition treaty.
