An excursion trip to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur for the children of Bishnupur district has been organised by 33 Assam Rifles of Logtak Brigade under Red Shield Division.
20 Children with five teachers along with an Officer of 33 AR have commenced the journey this morning.
Brig NJ George, Commander Logtak Brigade flagged off the tour from Bishnupur.
He wished the children a highly rewarding trip and emphasized that such steps would help in restoring peace and harmony in Manipur and the experience will help in widening the horizons of the children.
The ceremony was attended by locals from surrounding areas and parents of the children.
The students will travel by road to Dimapur.
They will further move to New Delhi by Rajdhani Express.
On arrival at New Delhi, they will visit different places like Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Lal Quila, India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Pragati Maidan.
The team will then move to Agra by road to visit Taj Mahal and will further move to Jaipur by road and shall do sightseeing of City Palace, Jal Mahal and Amer Fort, said a PIB (DW) press release.
