Imphal, December 15:
The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) strongly condemned State Government�s alleged apathy regarding renumeration of part-time lecturers.
In a statement TNL vice president Somimayar Awungshi said that there are roughly 466 part time lecturers in Manipur of which 32 are serving in Ukhrul.
Out of these only 16 are on a regular basis.
Charging the State Govt.of inaction on the issue for years he said the actual basic pay is Rs.8000/- per month in contrast to current package of just Rs.4500.The remaining amount is answerable by the Govt, he demanded while flaying repeated promises without any sign of converting into action.
Putting the onus on the Government the statement said that it�s high time the Govt.
