Imphal, March 29 2010:
Maintaining that the proposed setting up of 400 KV power station at Yurembam is against the consent of the people, United People's Front (UPF) Manipur urged upon the State Government to shift the said station to another location.
Pledging support to the ongoing stir staging by the Yurembam-Patsoi-Tabungkhok Land Protection Demand Committee, UPF asserted that it would be right on the part of the State Government to stop acqusitions of cultivable land.
