Imphal, October 21 2010:
Imphal-Dimapur section of NH-39 has been cut-off due to a road depression at Tabilok village, eight kilometers towards Imphal from Mao police station.
Police reports said that due to the depression, as many as 150 freight trucks including 17 oil tankers, 21 trucks with FCI rice and four bullet tankers were stranded at Mao with the road being totally blocked.
Manipur PWD authority has sent manpower and equipment to repair the depressed road to ensure resumption of normal traffic.
The repairing work began this afternoon, an official source said.
