Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch conducted free medical and health camps at Parbung and Thanlon of Churachandpur district from October 28 to 31.
In all 678 patients were examined during the camp held at JS School, Parbung and 289 patients were examined at Primary Health Camp, Thanlon.
Medicines were distributed to all the patients who attended in the two camps.
Further Red Cross relief materials including 50 woollen blankets were also distributed among the poor and needy people of Lungthulien village, located 17 kms from Parbung.
The Society also conducted HIV/AIDS awareness programme at Thanlon along with distribution of HIV/AIDS prevention materials to the community.
All these camps were organised in collaboration with Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS), Imphal and Churachandpur District Branch of India Red Cross Society.
