Imphal, November 30 2010:
A truck driver was abducted by unidentified armed persons from Taphou along National Highway 39 under Senapati district.
The driver was, however, released afterward.
According to police, the driver of the truck bearing registration no.NLG-014/4433 and carrying salt packets was abducted at around 9.44 am today.
The truck was coming from Nagaland and heading towards Imphal when the incident took place.
However, after the driver was released at around noon, Senapati police have ensured safe journey of the truck to Imphal.
