Seminar on SRHR held

Institute of Social Research and Development (ISRD) under the aegis of National Commission for Women, New Delhi inaugurated a two days seminar on "Assessment of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights" at Hotel Mass today.
Participated by ASHA workers of Imphal East and West district, the overall objective for organising the seminar is to improve reproductive and sexual health and rights amongst the youths especially women by finding out main barriers and possible recommendations.
The programme started with a key note speech delivered by Ksh Dinesh Singh, general secretary, ISRD.
On its first day, resource persons namely Monolata Devi, State programme manager NRHM spoke on the topic "reproductive sexual health rights and NRHM", Dr Somendro, MO, Medical Directorate spoke on "importance of STI and RTI in connection with sexual reproductive health", Dr Sumati, Sr Consultant, Census Departme- nt on "barriers in accessing sexual reproductive health services", Rani Devi, Sr Nurse RIMS on "reproductive health problem and HIV" and Archana Oinam spoke on the topic "convergence of sexual reproductive health and HIV".
