Imphal, Jun 20: Ist Assam Rifles located at Chassad in Kamjong sub-division of Ukhrul district recently organised an interaction with all the headmen, village authorities, pastors and other prominent citizens of all the villages in the area of responsibility.

Colonel Rajinder Singh, Commandant of Ist Assam Rifles conducted the meeting and apprised the locals about the prevailing security situation.

Enquiring into the problems faced by the locals, the Commandant also assured that the AR Unit would extend help in formation of Self Help Groups to tap the vast commercial prospects of Horticulture in the area, said PRO IGAR (S) in a statement.
