Imphal, December 30:
The Manipur People's Party has condemned that hanging to death of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein today is ill-timed and against the universal principle of humanity and livelihood.
A statement issued by MPP general secretary (Adm) L Jatra lamented that with several million Muslims preparing for Id-ul-zuha celebration the timing of Saddam's execution is against the sentiment of the Muslim world.
MPP takes grim note of the hanging and condemns the same act, added the statement.
