Imphal, July 17 2010:
The medical team of 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) timely saved a boy bitten by a poisonous snake on his left leg today.
In a press release, PRO, IG AR (S) stated that a boy named Deepak Pal (19) of Keithelmanbi, Sadar Hills, was brought to the Unit Hospital by his relatives in a critical condition.
The victim was immediately attended by the Medical officer who administered life saving anti snake venom.
Immediate medical intervention saved the life of the victim.
The individual was referred to RIMS for further management after his condition was stabilised.
