Decrying attitude of the ruling SPF Government towards the demand for reservation of seats in jobs and in admission for higher studies for the minority Muslim community in Manipur, many social organisations have extended support to the agitation being spearheaded by AMMSO, Headquarters in this regard.
Expressing solidarity to the cause, AMMSO Mayang Imphal Bengoon Branch said it would ensure the success of the indefinite economic blockade as well as the proposed four-day general strike from midnight of September 14.Other social organisations pledging unflinching support to AMMSO in connection with the demand for reservation of seats for the Muslim community in Manipur include Urup Khunou Youth Club, Keirao Makting Youth Club, Educated Unemployed Youth Association (Keirao Makting Mang Makha), Citizen Development Organisation (Haoreibi Makha Leikai), Clubs' Co-ordinating Committee (Irong Chesaba), Young Stars Club (Mayang Imphal), Khomidok Athletic Sporting Club (Khomidok Irong Machin), etc.
These organisations also categorically stated that the SPF Government should be held responsible for any untoward incident that might occur during the course of the agitation.
