Imphal, April 12 2011:
Reacting to the news item which appeared in the English edition of The Sangai Express, dated April 13, 2011 under the caption, "MSF drive exposes more in text book fiasco," the All Manipur Offset Printers' Association has clarified that the names of the printing firms, which were mentioned in the news item from where volunteers of MSF had confiscated a large number of BSEM prescribed text books is wrong and baseless.
In a statement the All Manipur Offset Printers' Association said that the news item is completely unfounded and false.
The Printers' Association added that the books were published after getting the requisite orders from the Board and added that the sale and custody of the books is totally under the supervision of the Board.
The printers mentioned in the report are; RNB Offset Printers, Lamyanba Printers, Ketuki Offset, NHT, Saratchandra Offset, ST Printers, KK Art Centre, Emoinu Offset and Sangai Offset Printers.
Editor adds : We stand corrected.
The error crept in during the editing process due to a misinterpretation of the story filed by our reporter at the news desk.
It was an inadvertent error on our part and our deep regrets for any inconveniences caused to any of the said printers.
