Imphal, February 07, 2011:
Following an assurance from the government to induct the brother of Sunder, who was killed by unidentified gunmen yesterday, the JAC formed in connection with the killing has decided to take the dead body for its last rites today.
Earlier, in the morning, a public held at Sawombung, which discussed the killing of constable Ningombam Sunder Singh (26), formed a JAC.
The meeting further decided to impose 24-hour bandh along the Imphal-Ukhrul and Imphal-Sagolmang road tomorrow (February 8) as part of its demands to the government to book the culprits.
The JAC met the CM who assured Sunder's brother would be given a job.
