Women organisations of Ningthoukhong Ward No V and VI in a joint meeting held yesterday have resolved to appeal to all underground group not to foray into the said areas with immediate effect, according to a press release of Women Welfare Association.
The body cited security personnel �marking� the said areas and resorting to constant harassment of the local population under the pretext of searching and scanning UG movements as factors which compelled decision to prohibit entry.
Alcohol hours: The Churachandpur District Women Social Reformation & Development Samaj has imposed ban on sale and consumption of alcohol in the district beyond 5 pm.
