Imphal, October 25 2010:
A free cataract detection camp was jointly organised by District Blindness Control Society Thoubal and Shija Eye Care Foundation at Yairipok Bishnunaha today under the theme of World Sight Day "Reaching Doorsteps of People to Restore Sight" .
Altogether 167 males and 252 females attended the camp, reports our correspondent.
Out of them, 175 persons were detected to have been infected by cataract and they were duly registered for necessary operation which would be done at Shija Hospital on October 31 free of cost.
