Imphal, November 24: A joint meeting of the Tangkhul Naga Long, Tangkhul Shanao Long, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long has decried disruption of peace in Ukhrul district by a UG group after October 31 and the resultant friction between security forces and local populace.

It also took strong exception to the attitude of security forces who have not paid any wages to the villagers of Khambi, Sorde, Sorbung, Sorathem and Nongman for the jungle clearance.

The meeting resolved that the concerned authorities should pay for the villagers� labour at the earliest, conveyed a joint release.
