Imphal, November 10 2008:
A ONE-DAY free medical camp was held at New Khunphung, 18 kms from Tamei in Tamenglong district on November 8 .
About 170 villagers from Khunphung and nearby villages were given free treatment at the medical camp organised by Manipur Peace and Integrity (MAPI) Council.
During the inaugural function, officer bearers of MAPI Council distributed clothes and Hawaichar handed over to the Council by OISCA International, Japan to the villagers of Khunphung.
General Secretary of Mapi Council, N Bimol told the villagers that the Council would continue extending whatever little help they can to the villagers of remote areas in the hills.
