Imphal, October 16:
To adjust the excess amount allocated by the Planning Commission compared to the Budget size which had been passed by the State Assembly, the Finance Department will place the matter for consideration as supplementary demand in the forthcoming winter session.
The Assembly had passed the State budget for the current financial year at Rs 425 crore which has subsequently led to technical necessity to adjust the excess amount as supplementary budget according to source.
The Planning Commission had allocated Rs 781.25 crore as the State plan size resulting in excess of Rs 356 crore compared to the assembly's assent of Rs.425 crore.
